Prayer for big meeting!!

Dear Friends,
How we thank the Lord for His faithfulness and you for all your
prayers!!! I just got off the phone with Eddy, and things went GREAT
with the Samburu elders. The meeting happened in true Samburu style,
starting several hours late, with people continually adding to the
group. They were very welcoming. When asked by one man where we
would build our church building, Eddy explained that we would not be
building anything but a house for our family, (which will be turned over
to the community when we leave), and that our goal was to share the
stories from the Bible and tell people about the One True God and His
Son, Jesus. The Chief , who professes to be a Christian, said that he
was so glad, because people need to know that the church isn’t a
building, but is God’s people. Wow! That’s an amazing statement!
So, we have an official agreement with signatures
(and a few thumbprints 
), and we can begin building the house,
having been welcomed with open arms by the Samburu of the area.
They said our plot of land is an “elephant highway”, and that the
elephants will be so surprised to find our house there. We are so
excited. God is so faithful, isn’t He????????
