prayer request and computer problems!!

Posted on January 28, 2006 - Filed Under Prayer Requests |

Dear Friends and Family,
We wanted to let you know we’ll be out of touch for the next few
weeks, as the computer we use for e-mail in Maralal crashed this
morning! :(
We pray for the Lord to heal it somehow. If you don’t hear from us, or
we don’t answer e-mails, please don’t be alarmed. Eddy will be flying
to South Africa in mid-February to see a neurologist to try to get a
diagnosis and resolution on chronic pain in his right arm/hand. We know
that God will bring healing, with or without doctors. He has not
changed his call in our hearts, so we have peace knowing this is a
“bump in the road”. Please join us in praying for healing, and pray for
wisdom as we try to figure out whether Eddy should go alone to South
Africa, or whether I should go, too. There are so many unknowns—to
US, but the Lord knows it all! We are leaving in a few minutes to drive
back to Maralal. I may need to do some of the driving, so pray for
that, too. Driving a 4-WD offroad and pulling a loaded trailer–God’s
grace is sufficient! Thank you so much for your prayers. We appreciate
it SO much!!
Love, Amanda

Good morning Amanda, I am studying Genesis (again, but from a different view) in my quiet time this morning. As I’m praying verses back to the LORD I was drawn to pray specifically for your family and the Samburu people you are serving…. LORD, I pray for the Simmons family right now. I ask that because of their willingness to serve and because of YOUR faithfulness, that you would enable the Samburu people to see them much like Abimelech was Abraham… that you are with them in everything that they do. As you blessed Abraham with water supply from the well of Beersheba, would you bless them, too, with an abundance of water supply. LORD, exceed their needs that they would be a blessing to those around them in the practical need to quench a thirsty land. I know that this is not too hard for You - You are HUGE. Wow them with your hugeness and let us be faithful to give you all the honor, glory, and praise You are certainly due… Lord, even if You should choose to answer this prayer with a “no” - we know that You are worthy of our praise and adoration. Thank you for calling upon their lives, that You for the sacrifice so many of us back home would be too intimidate to entertain… What an encouragement they have been on my life and my boys - We love You more and more, Father. In the matchless name of Jesus we pray. Amen….

    You are missed dear ones….
