Samburu of Kenya

what’s a blog?

I am just now looking at our website for the first time in a few months since we haven’t had internet access at home and other lame excuses. Anyway, I am still in a bit of wonderment over blogs and what they are and how they work and all. What I do see is that I have been pretty lacking in my communication with you all lately…and you remember I have a good excuse. Even our email has been pretty non-existent the last couple months. We have been blessed by your prayers, however, make no mistake. We have had some visitors to Samburu recently, which is kind of rare, given our remote location. Russ Lee and his family are doing a world wide tour and God “happened” to place them in our path. It’s a great story and I don’t have time to tell you all about it now, but the short version is that we had a connection with folks at his church and didn’t even know it! They are great folks and blessed our socks off. You can find out more about here. I’m sure you can learn more about what they are doing and see some other great pics.

We also really enjoyed our time with our oldest son Travis visiting here in June/July. Went all over Samburu and also to Maasai Mara where we saw every animal there was to see, even the illusive tree zebra. Ask Joseph. He saw animals you never even KNEW existed…like war dogs…you figure it out.

Anyway, God continues to bless us and care for us here and we pray He is doing the same for you.
