We selected the 'poorest of the poor' to receive food. Widows... ...the elderly... ...disabled...
Elderly man waits for food at Shabaa. An old woman rests on a sack of food. She is grateful to receive her food.
Probably a widow waiting for the food rations. A blind man arrives to receive food. He is escorted by a small boy. The blind man with the young boy.
The large bags contain beans and corn. Each person received enough to feed them for one month. An elderly (middle aged, actually) woman with a very small infant...possibly her grandchild.
Charlie liked these women. They were very nice. Food distribution went fairly smoothly in this area. Some from outside brought trouble toward the end, however. One of our pastors lives near this area. People who did not receive food are still asking him where their rations are.
A small boy enjoys climbing around this sack of food. This is how the women will carry their rations home.
